Barco demonstrates iSurveillance Display Solution with Integrated Streaming Video Decoding at Sicherheit 2003
Barco’s iSurveillance solution is the first solution to provide integrated visualization of the total security system, as well as address the industry’s migration from analog to digital streaming video
Zürich, Switzerland – November 11, 2003 – Barco is pleased to showcase its iSurveillance Integrated Display Solution at Sicherheit on November 11, 2003. Barco's iSurveillance Integrated Display Solution provides the security CCTV community with an integrated visualization platform that can serve both legacy analog and digital video networks, as well as serve to facilitate its transition. Barco will exhibit at the show, held in Zürich, Switzerland from November 11-14, on Booth nr 4.145.
In addition, the display controller was designed with a high bandwidth backplane chassis architecture, allowing the controller to serve as a universal decoding platform, capable of accepting both analog and digital video inputs cards. This is particularly beneficial when digital streaming video is deployed as the iSurveillance Display Solution integrates the digital decoder unit into the display controller thus saving both physical space and equipment costs.
Its architectural design allows the user to expand the iSurveillance solution’s displays and/or input decoding as necessary. The combination of the flexible display and universal decoding platform provides the user with a truly integrated display solution that is unique in its ability to accept different input formats, cost, performance, and scalability. In addition, the solution allows the user to easily define the position and size of any video image or computer output to be viewed, to overlay different views to provide context and switch between these views and inputs. iSurveillance adds further value by supporting text insertion, alarm based actions, and border and background colour control.
