Barco and Hi-Tech Support Habitat for Humanity Celebration
Atlanta, GA – October 18, 2003 – Barco is pleased to announce Hi-Tech will provide a Barco SLM G5 projector for the Atlanta Habitat for Humanity’s 20th Anniversary Celebration. The projector will be used in the October 19, 2003 celebration and feature video highlights of volunteers, donors, sponsors and homebuyers building homes and communities in the city of Atlanta. Hi-Tech, located in Atlanta, has been a dedicated Barco rental partner for over 16 years.
Atlanta Habitat for Humanity built its first home in 1983. Since then the organization has built over 700 homes for over 3,000 individual family members. This event has been designed to celebrate and recognize the volunteers who have helped to reach this anniversary. During the past twenty years, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity has been recognized as the “Most Productive U.S. Affiliate” and even worked with the NFL during Super Bowl XXVIII to sponsor a building blitz of four homes.
In recognition of the accomplishments of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Hi-Tech has donated the equipment to be used for this event. “This is an important event for the Atlanta community and we wanted to provide Habitat with a reliable product,” said Christina Mahoney, Hi-Tech Marketing and Sales Coordinator. “For that reason we decided to go with a Barco SLM G5.
