Textil Santanderina S.A. orders WeaveMaster systems for Santander and La Coruña plants
The Spanish textile group Textil Santanderina S.A., ordered Barco’s WEAVEMASTER for two of its plants in the north east of Spain. The group of spinning, weaving and finishing factories produces various fabrics, such as shirting, denim and linen. Barco’s systems will be installed in the plants of CABEZON DE LA SAL, Cantabria, close to Santander and in XUBIA, Galicia, close to La Coruña.
Textil Santanderina chose Barco and its systems for their compatibility with the existing Loomdata 2 hardware and to take benefit of Barco’s state-of-the-art technology for bi-directional communication with the modern Picanol looms.
In the Galacia plant (Galacia Textil S.A.) the current Loomdata 2 hardware will be replaced and the Picanol looms will be linked with the fast DU7P data unit, which gives the possibility to download settings and patterns to the looms according to the woven style. This information is then passed on to WEAVEMASTER through a link with the PCS-system from Picanol, thus avoiding the use of setcards.

In the Santander plant (Textil Santanderina S.A.) the installation will be a mixed operation of Barco WEAVEMASTER software and hardware, as well as existing Loomdata 2 hardware. The ERP system developed by the Textil Santanderina will be linked with the WEAVEMASTER system in order to feed all production and logistics data.
