Barco and Talon Consult Announce Partnership for German, Swiss and Austrian Markets
KORTRIJK, BELGIUM, 06 March 03. Barco’s Color Imaging Systems Division and Talon Consult, Germany, are pleased to announce that they have signed an agreement whereby Talon Consult will act as an agent for Barco. Talon Consult will support and strategically market Barco’s Calibrator® displays to the German, Swiss and Austrian markets.
Talon Consult, Adenbüttel, Germany, will manage Barco’s dedicated distribution channel for CALIBRATOR® displays in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Under the agreement, Talon Consult will market Barco’s professional display solutions for color-critical applications.
Luc Colle, Business Manager Color Imaging Systems, explains: “Talon Consult will act as Barco’s agent, take care of daily contacts with dealers and support them with training, education and first line support. Barco’s CALIBRATOR® V line of color-accurate displays features the Personal and Reference CALIBRATOR®. The Reference CALIBRATOR® V offers the highest levels of accuracy for critical applications, such as scanning, softproofing, digital photography and electronic cinematography. It has a Delta-E rating around one, a difference that can hardly be perceived by the human eye but that is still measurable.
The Personal CALIBRATOR® is Barco’s entry level accurate display for desktop publishing, graphic design and photo retouching. The Personal CALIBRATOR® has a Delta-E rating lower than 4, which makes it the most accurate, entry-level calibrated display available on the market.
