Barco’s PERSONAL CALIBRATOR V WAVE II Setting New Standards for Color Accurate Viewing
KORTRIJK - BarcoView introduces the Personal Calibrator V WAVE II. This entry-level calibrated display now features digital uniformity and focus control for ultimate accuracy. The Personal Calibrator V WAVE II becomes available for imaging professionals from June 1 onwards.
Although flat panel displays may be gaining wide acceptance for office use, their unstable behavior makes them unreliable for imaging professionals demanding extreme accuracy. For critical applications, designers, publishers and photographers still rely on proven CRT technology. In order to offer these professional users even more image fidelity, BarcoView has now upgraded its 21” Personal Calibrator V with the WAVE II technology. The ASIC WAVE II technology, as developed by BarcoView, offers digital control over focus and uniformity, full screen calibration and screen-wide uniformity. The WAVE II chipset digitally corrects the imperfections and deviations of the picture tube over 25 zones, by adjusting focus, s and uniformity. This technique ensures unequalled image fidelity and sharpness from corner to corner, combined with screen-wide, perfect geometry.Coupled with the guaranteed Delta-E rating (< 4), ICC compatibility and continuous black level stabilization, the WAVE II chipset makes Barco’s Personal Calibrator V the most affordable accurate calibrated display available. The Personal Calibrator V WAVE II will be launched June 1, 2002.Barco’s award-winning Reference Calibrator V remains the top of the line display and world premier performer in accurate rendering with a Delta-E rating guaranteed under 1.5.
