BARCO is Awarded 3.7 Million USD Order to Supply Displays and Graphics Cards for US FAA TRACON and Tower Upgrades

KORTRIJK - BarcoView has received a 3.7 million USD order from Lockheed Martin ATM for the delivery of ISIS 2K x 2K flat panel displays, TCD251B high-bright tower flat-panel displays, and VPCI5605 graphics controller boards as part of the US FAA ARTS Color Display (ACD) and Remote-ACD tower upgrades.

The ACD and R-ACD upgrades offer full ARTS functionality and feature a hardware/software platform that enables remote operation in a tower environment, bringing radar and flight data into geographic locations that were formerly without automation. The ISIS displays and VPCI graphics cards will be used in high-resolution supervisor display consoles while the TCD251B and VPCI graphics cards will be used in towers. These BarcoView display and graphics card products provide Lockheed Martin with a complete visualization solution for both air traffic TRACON’s and tower applications.Installations are now proceeding in the Northern California and Potomac air traffic regions, and other supporting sites. ACD sites at Washington National, Atlanta, and Dallas/Ft. Worth are currently operational.
