BARCO Introduces DIGITAL SCRIBE® Workstation for RGB Recording
EURONAVAL, Le Bourget, France - BarcoView introduces DIGITAL SCRIBE®, its newest workstation which offers a unique set of compression techniques for effective recording of RGB outputs on storage media.
The Barco DIGITAL SCRIBE® workstation contains a PCI form factor graphics recorder board that converts RGB data combined with radar and video into a compressed digital stream of data. The compression algorithm is Barco proprietary and is downward compatible with the MPEG2 standard. The stored images can be played back later for review and analysis.The DIGITAL SCRIBE® is available in a stand-alone 19” rack-mount chassis or as a single-slot PCI board to be integrated into an existing system and is designed to operate like a VCR inserted between a graphics source and a display device, while providing the capabilities to digitally record the signal.The DIGITAL SCRIBE® workstation can be used in many applications such as electronic data archiving and retrieval, easy electronic transport of data, training new operators, incident recall, and recording real-time critical events as viewed by a console operator..gif)
