BARCO Hosts Premier Networking Event for Europe’s Largest Rental & Staging Firms.
BARCO last week played host to 120 of Europe’s foremost Rental & Staging Partners at its annual European Rental Partner Meeting in Marbella, Spain.
Kuurne, Belgium – February 6, 2003 - BARCO last week hosted what has become the annual networking event to the Events and Rental & Staging industries - its annual Rental Partner Meeting - in Marbella, Spain.Held at the luxurious Meridien Los Monteros Hotel in Marbella from 26 to 29 January, the three-day event was attended by 120 key commercial and technical representatives from 50 rental & staging companies Europe-wide. Due to the overwhelming response, attendance to the much anticipated event was strictly by invitation only for Barco’s key European Rental Partners, who in line with Barco’s Golden Account Strategy were treated to a carefully constructed agenda which included hands-on workshops with Barco’s proprietary Events Controller and ViewScape as well as demonstrations of the brand-new SLite 10 and SLite14 LED displays and workshops on the SLM R10 Performer and RLM G5 Performer projectors. As grande-finale to the three-day event, the Barco team programmed a full show featuring a larger than life display combining ILite 6, ILite 8 and ILite 10 together with Dlite 7 LED displays, the ViewScape and four SLM R8 Performer projectors - all steered by the Barco Events Controller.

As a result of this exclusive preview, Barco booked various sizable orders as well as booking its first key orders of the brand-new SLite 10 and SLite 14 and RLM G5 Performer ranges.
Robert Fredriksson, Managing Director, AV Teknik, which placed a sizable order for both display and projection equipment at the meeting, states: “For us buying Barco just makes good business sense: they always offer the latest technologies, they represent the best quality products available on the market today and they have an enormous amount of material in the field, which makes cross-rental at peak periods all that more viable.”
