WeaveMaster offers Converter Set for Loomdata's Loda 2 Systems
Recently, Loomdata Systems AG announced that it would no longer maintain its installed base of Loda 2 systems.
BARCO is pleased to announce that converter kits are available to make the Loda 2 hardware on the looms and the Loda 2 wiring in the mill fit to work with BARCO's newest Windows based WeaveMaster system.
This approach reduces the replacement of the Loda 2 system a great deal. The Loda 2 yellow boxes typically handle 16 looms. So only a converter kit per 16 looms is needed. Clearly a lot less expensive than new data collection hardware, wiring and installation on each loom.
Important is also the fact that BARCO's Loda 2 converter kits can work in mixed mode with BARCO's data collection hardware. This means that the new purchased weaving machines can be connected by means of a BARCO DU4P, DU7P or DU5P data unit. This allows weavers to slowly migrate from the Loda 2 hardware as newer weaving machines are purchased and installed in the mill.
With this converter kit, BARCO wants to offer weaving operations with Loda 2 a cost effective alternative migration path. Migration to Loomdata's newest system is no longer the only alternative. Maybe your organization prefers a Windows server based monitoring system over the UNIX based Loomdata solution, then WeaveMaster could be best fit for your weaving operation.
