Concordia goes for WeaveMaster
For its new weaving plant in Waregem/Belgium, Concordia, one of the largest synthetic fabric producers in Europe, selects BARCO's WeaveMaster to monitor 108 Picanol Omni Plus airjet looms.
Concordia is a long-term BARCO customer. They were one of the very first to implement loom monitoring some 25 years ago. All these years, Concordia has continued to use BARCO as automation partner. Not only in the weaving operation has Concordia a BARCO system in place, but also the dye house is fully equipped with SEDOMAT 5000 controllers and SEDOMASTER as management system.
In the finished fabric inspection, Concordia uses BARCO's optimized cutting package which maximizes the yield of first meters based on the defects and their location in the fabric.
The new weaving operation will be equipped with BARCO's newest monitoring system - WeaveMaster - based on a Windows server and high speed data collection using a mixed mode of machines with VDI interface and Ethernet interface.
Concordia also decided to install a first bank of looms with CYCLOPS for automatic on loom inspection in conjunction with the software package which produces the defect maps based on the fabric defects detected by the CYCLOPS units.
