BARCO Expands its Pioneering Digital Cinema Training Program
Barco Digital Cinema increases training class schedule for education and installation of Digital Cinema projection solutions
Kennesaw, Georgia – December 04, 2002 – Barco Digital Cinema is pleased to announce the addition of several classes to its long-standing, nationwide Digital Cinema training program. The Digital Cinema Training Program is led by Bob Cardone, Barco’s National Training Manager. Several Digital Cinema technical experts will assist with the hands-on training. Barco Digital Cinema implemented its training program at BARCO’s U.S. headquarters in Kennesaw, GA, over two years ago to educate digital cinema dealers and cinema industry experts on the installation and technology of its earlier D-Cine Star and current D-Cine Premiere projectors. For the past two years Barco has conducted classes at many regional cinema sites and regularly in Los Angeles. Now, Barco Digital Cinema has taken its training program to a new level, adding more classes, and offering hands-on training at BARCO installation sites throughout the U.S. In addition to authorized BARCO dealers, the classes are being offered to exhibitors, and cinema industry experts. The classes offer a general understanding of digital cinema, the future of this technology, as well as the installation and operation of BARCO’s digital cinema projectors.“This is an exciting new area of cinema knowledge, and it is important that everyone in the cinema industry feel comfortable with it. Fortunately, it is inherently simple, dependable, and not difficult to understand,” said Harry Mathias, Barco’s Director of Digital Cinema, America. “Barco is determined to leave no one in the cinema industry behind, as this technology becomes our future.”
Barco Digital Cinema’s D-Cine Premiere® digital projector is the only one to have been selected by
