BARCOCIM installation in South Africa
Pailpac produces plastic containers and is one of South Africa’s leading molding companies. For its new premises in New Germany, Natal, Pailpac decided to install a full blown BARCOCIM system for production and quality control on its 70 molding machines.
Besides scheduling and real time production monitoring and reporting, Pailpac also invested in BARCO’s SPC/SQC module. Based on the product inspection plans, the system generates inspection orders for each individual production order. Weighing scales at the machines are connected to the BARCO data units for real time continuous control of the product weight. Other product related quality information is entered by the operators on one of the "QC stations" installed throughout the plant.A GDU (Graphical Data Unit) with six analog inputs is used to monitor the level of raw material in the silos of the centralized material distribution system.
