BARCO Announces $3 Million Order from AVW-TELAV Audio Visual Solutions
BARCO chosen to provide a state-of-the-art display and projection equipment to one of North America’s foremost AV Rental and Staging Companies.
Kuurne, Belgium - November 5, 2002 - BARCO announced today that it has won an order of $3 million with one of North America’s foremost AV Rental and Staging Companies, AVW –TELAV Audio Visual Solutions. BARCO will deliver 30 square meters of its renowned ILite6 indoor display technology as well as twenty SLM R8 Performer projectors to AVW -TELAV. The state-of-the-art digital display and projection solutions will be used by AVW -TELAV at various high profile events throughout North America.AVW-TELAV Audio Visual Solutions, which is a new company formed by the merger of TELAV Audio Visual Services and AVW Audio Visual, is one of North America’s leading Audio Visual rental and staging companies. AVW was founded in 1971, headquartered in Dallas, Texas with 15 locations throughout the United States. TELAV was founded in 1982, headquartered in Montreal, Quebec and operates in 18 locations throughout Canada. Today, AVW-TELAV Audio Visual Solutions has 34 offices coast to coast and offers an extensive North American service delivery network. AVW-TELAV provides its services to big name clients the likes of The Salvation Army, The American Heart Association, Microsoft, American Eurocopter and G8-Summit Organizers. Barco ILite
The Barco ILite indoor display technology combines high brightness with high resolution in a slim, modular package. The intelligent LED-based display solution offers new standards in the video and graphics world. The ILite is uniquely suited for high ambient light environments that also demand high resolution and minimal installation depth. The system offers extremely wide viewing angles, and does not suffer from color-match uniformity problems. Four versions are currently available: ILite 3, ILite 6, ILite 8 and ILite 10.
SLM Series
The SLM R8 and G8 Performer platform now offer the market the first projector of this size with brightness levels of 8,000 Lumen, as well as features geared specifically at the rental & staging markets.
