Barco Introduces Broad Range of Intelligent Projectors for the Presentation market, including a fully Customizable Version
Belgium - October, 14th 2002 - Barco is pleased to announce that the iQ Series and iQ Pro Series will be extended to include, in addition to a fully customizable product (the iQ Praxis G300), a range of high-brightness versions (the 400 Series), offering a light output level of up to 4,200 ANSI lumens.
Barco’s iQ Praxis G300 projector is a versatile LCD projector with XGA resolution (3,500 ANSI lumens) that can be fully tailored to meet your requirements and budget. Based on your presentation needs, you can choose from a variety of options. Choose the advanced picture-in-picture option if you need to show three sources simultaneously on the screen (i.e. the internet, a video capture of yourself and your presentation). If you want to increase the momentum and flow of your presentations, add the integrated seamless source switcher, to make sure that you can switch sources on the fly or choose for a special transition effect such as fade in/out. For applications where corporate image building is important, you can choose the ‘logo storage’ functionality to be able to show your company logo with one click from the remote control. To easily manage several video sources, you can select the Video Selector option. If you require combinations of these options, you can choose from application specific Value Packs, such as ‘Video Conferencing’, ‘Collaborative Working’ and ‘Professional Presentation’.

Next to the introduction of the iQ Praxis G300, Barco has added four models in the current range of iQ Series and iQ Pro Series. In addition to the iQ 300 Series, the iQ 400 Series will be available soon in XGA and SXGA resolution, and will deliver a light output of up to 4,200 ANSI lumens. The iQ series includes the following unique benefits: advanced picture-in-picture, seamless source switching, logo storage, etc. All iQ series projectors benefit from the intelligent dual-lamp design for reliability.

Barco’s iQ Pro 300 series, the revolutionary networked projector series which includes a powerful computer server for full networking capability and truly wireless presentations, will also be complemented with the iQ Pro 400 Series for higher brightness levels (up to 4,200 ANSI lumens). With the iQ Pro connected to your LAN, you can send any kind of file over the LAN to the projector, or save it on the hard disk of the projector. The iQ Pro comes standard with 2 software packages designed by Barco (‘DropZone’ and ‘Remote Control & Diagnostics’).
All new iQ and iQ Pro models, will become available by early November 2002.
