KnitMaster system successfully introduced
BarcoVision recently introduced KnitMaster, a real time monitoring, scheduling and quality control system for knitting mills.
In today's business conditions, textile companies more than ever need to focus on efficiency, quality and flexibility. Hundreds of Barco monitoring systems have been installed in weaving and spinning mills all over the world. In order to also serve the knitting industry, Barco developed the KnitMaster system.Since its introduction early 2001, several KnitMaster systems have been sold and successfully installed in a number of leading knitting mills, of which :
CMT (Compagnie Mauricienne du Textile), the largest knitting mill in Mauritius, installed KnitMaster on 150 circular knitting machines. Besides scheduling and real time monitoring, the system is also extensively used to monitor LFA (absorbed yarn length per course) values in real time, thus assuring continuous quality monitoring.
Bodet & Horst installed the KnitMaster system in its brand new knitting mill in Elterlein, Germany. Over 100 circular knitting machines are connected by means of Barco's latest DU8P data units.

Feinjersey, one of Austria's leading fashion knitting companies chose the KnitMaster system to monitor its knitting mill and above all to optimise the production scheduling by means of the real time plan board integrated in KnitMaster.
Cotefor uses the KnitMaster system to monitor its 40-machine-circular-knitting operation in the North of Brasil.
