BarcoProfile on Rieter R20 and R40 OE machines
On Rieter R20 OE machines, BARCO was able to integrate, with the help of Rieter, the BARCOPROFILE BP5 optical yarn clearer.
During ITMA Asia in Singapore, the new Rieter R40 OE machine was shown with BARCOPROFILE.
The BARCOPROFILE clearer is known for its perfect detection of all types of yarn defects such as thick and thin places and moiré. As a standard feature, BP5 also offers off standard CV% detection, histogram and spectrogram analysis and defect classification.
In case foreign fiber detection is required, BARCO offers the ABS detection system. This detector checks the yarn for contamination, through the spin tube. The yarn is observed in a 360° angle, from all sides, which allows to determine the exact length of the foreign fiber in the yarn. ABS has proven to be extremely color sensitive, which allows precise functioning of the foreign fiber clearing.
BARCOPROFILE is now officially released by Rieter, so Rieter customers should not hesitate to specify BARCOPROFILE as their preferred clearer. In that case, new Rieter machines will be delivered with BARCOPROFILE installed by Rieter in their factory. Also for Rieter's new R40 OE machine, Rieter has assured BARCO that BARCOPROFILE will be available and supported.
