BARCO Daylight Displays Light Up New York AGM
BARCO’s renowned daylight display was chosen as display medium at one of the largest corporate AGMs ever.
Kuurne, Belgium – July 12, 2002 - BARCO announced today that it’s renowned Ilite 6mm and 10mm indoor daylight display technology was used at one of the world’s largest AGMs in New York’s Madison Square Garden recently.Staged by Imagination and Creative Technology, who provided the Barco displays, the AGM featured Bon Jovi and Mohammed Ali as guests and was presented by Donald Sutherland and Charlie Rose.
The AGM’s extravagant set was based on 870 LED panels, which comprised a mixture of Barco’s ILite 6mm and 10mm product. In total the set featured 7 walls of varying sizes. The ILite 10mm display modules were used to build 2 giant displays of 12ft by 21ft and 11ft by 6ft respectively, which were both hung from chain winches. The ILite 6mm modules were used to build a ‘flying’ wall of 12ft by 16ft as well as four vertical 5ft by 18ft strips.
