Barco D-Cine Premiere® Digital Cinema Projector selected to screen Star Wars Episode II “Attack of the Clones” at the 2002 Festival du Cannes
In a significant ‘first’ for the world of Digital Cinema Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones is to be screened digitally at the Cannes Film Festival.
The screening will be made using the latest generation DLP Cinema technology from Barco Digital Cinema.
Working closely with the CST and the Lucasfilm THX organisation, Barco has provided it’s THX approved Barco D-Cine Premiere® Digital Cinema projector for the many rigorous trials on the Lumiere theatre’s 18m screen for several weeks to ensure a benchmark quality Digital movie presentation in what is predicted to be one of the early highlights of the Festival schedule.

The movie, using the Barco D-Cine Premiere digital projector, is scheduled to screen in the Festivals premiere Lumiere Theatre in the Palais de Congress on the 17th May.
