VER Purchases 1,300 Square Feet of BARCO ILite 6 and ILite 10

Kennesaw, GA – April 9, 2002 – BARCO announced today VER (Video Equipment Rentals) has purchased 1,300 square feet of its ILite 6 and ILite 10 LED display. VER has the largest selection and inventory of equipment for the video/audio visual professional and carries a full line of products including high-definition, broadcast and audio equipment, video projection, plasma screens, and now BARCO LED displays. VER is also the first rental partner to offer BARCO’s new ELM R18 Director Series projectors.

BARCO ILite
The BARCO ILite indoor display technology combines high brightness with high resolution in a slim, modular package. The intelligent LED-based display solution offers new standards in the video and graphics world. The ILite is uniquely suited for high ambient light environments that also demand high resolution and minimal installation depth. The system offers extremely wide viewing angles, and does not suffer from color-match uniformity problems. Three versions are currently available: ILite 6, ILite 8 and ILite 10.

BARCO ELM R18
The ELM R18 Director, based on the ELM platform already renowned for its reliability in its product class, now becomes the first projector to reach brightness levels of 17,000 Lumen while also offering the added features of seamless switching and high contrast mode. Equipped with an innovative Digital Light Processing (DLPä) sub-system, including high-resolution Digital Mirror Devices (DMDä) and a state-of-the-art optical system, the ELM R18 Director delivers a performance breakthrough for large-screen video projection.
