Barco’s all-in-one Transportable Passive Stereo Solution: the Mini CADWall™(MICA)
Kuurne, Belgium – January 8, 2002 – Barco’s MICA is a transportable, all-in-one Passive Stereo projection Mini CADWall™. Thanks to its high performance, compact size, fast set-up and ease of transportation, it is the product of choice for expositions, road shows and collaborative project development and review. The MICA is manufactured as a compact flight case supporting a solid steel structure so that the relative position of projectors, mirrors and screen stays accurate, even with frequently heavy use. A scratch resistant skin plate finish and aluminum reinforced corners ensure optimal protection during transport and use.
Complete set-up and alignment of Barco’s Mini CADWall™ can be realized in less than an hour by one person. Dedicated mechanics automatically position the projectors, mirrors and screen in the right operational stand. This dramatically shortens the installation and alignment time.Clever design and the use of a mirror reduces the dimensions of the MICA in operation to 218cm width x 233cm depth x 217cm height (85.94 x 91.81 x 85.43 inch).
Thanks to the combination of two 3D optimized BarcoReality SIM 6 LCD projectors and a rigid Barco passive stereo optimized screen, the best-quality passive stereo images are achieved. The SIM 6 projectors can be optimized for linear or circular polarized passive stereo. Using the Barco Duet Stereo Convertor, an active stereo input signal can be transformed into passive stereo for display on the Mini CADWall™.
