Barco showcases latest control room visualization solutions for the utilities market at DistribuTECH 2012
Duluth, Ga., USA – 24 January 2012 – Visualization pioneer Barco has announced its integrated, turnkey line-up of control room solutions on display at DistribuTECH 2012. Representing the industry's best-in-class T&D control room visualization platform, Barco's LED-lit rear projection video walls, Win 7 64-bit wall controllers and control room management software combine to enhance situational awareness and network visualization in today's growing utilities market.

Barco has developed a wide array of visualization solutions that provide a comprehensive overview of the utilities network with tools that facilitate collaboration and fast-decision making to ensure reliable electricity delivery:80" LED-lit Rear Projection Video Wall (OVL-815) — The 80” OVL-815 LED-lit projection system has been enhanced with a liquid cooling system, lifting the LED illumination to a new level of brightness. It features the brightest and most saturated colors in SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution, and is equipped with Barco's unique Sense6 sensor technology to ensure continuous, automated calibration. The OVL-815 is driven by Win 7 64 -bit controllers to facilitate fast, smart decision making.
70" HD DLP LED-lit Projection Module (OL-721) — Offers an ergonomically excellent viewing experience with the sharpest, most saturated colors in full HD (1920x1080). Rugged, yet compact, the OL-721 ensures consistent brightness and color stability over time and across the display, without the need for maintenance or manual adjustments.
Display Wall Controller (ECU-100) — Drives up to 40 cubes via a powerful Windows 7 64-bit operating system. Preconfigured and easy to use, the new ECU-100 can position and control video and application windows anywhere on the display wall, creating, saving and recalling layouts on the spot.
Control Room Management Software (CMS-200) — CMS-200 control room management software facilitates display wall configuration, control and collaboration in a NERC-CIP environment. Multiple operators can easily access and share video/graphics/data in a real-time environment to enhance situational awareness.
Video Wall Upgrade Kits — Barco offers an upgrade kit for users of its first (polysilicon) and second generation (DLP) OverView systems, which enables customers to convert to its latest LED-based projection engines to enjoy all of the benefits of the latest generation of video wall technology.
