Barco appoints two new directors
Kortrijk, 28 april 2008 – Two new directors were appointed at the Annual General Meeting of Barco, held on Thursday 24 April 2008. Mr. Martin De Prycker was reappointed as director. Furthermore the Annual General Meeting took note of the dismissal as director of Mr. Jozef Cornu and of the end of the mandate as director of Mr. Philippe Naert.
Dismissal and end of mandate
The Annual General Meeting took note of:
- the dismissal of Mr. Jozef Cornu as a member of the Board of Directors as of 13 December 2007. In this way any conflict of interest could be avoided, following his appointment as CEO of Agfa-Gevaert;
- the end of the mandate of Mr. Philippe Naert, that expired at the closing of the general meeting. As the age limit was reached, the mandate was not renewable.
Appointment new directors
The Annual General Meeting appointed
- Mr. Bruno Holthof, as independent director for the duration of two (2) years as of the closing of the general meeting until the closing of the general meeting of 2010;
- Mr. Luc Missorten, as independent director as from 1 September 2008 until the closing of the general meeting of 2010.
Reappointment Mr. Martin De Prycker
The Annual General Meeting also decided to reappoint Mr. Martin De Prycker, whose mandate as director expired on 24 April 2008, until the closing of the general meeting of 2012.
