Barco appoints President Global Operations & Supply Chain
Kortrijk, Belgium, 26 January 2006 - Barco is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Brown to the position of President Global Operations & Supply Chain. He will also become a member of the Executive Committee of Barco as of 6 February, 2006. He will be responsible for the implementation and alignment of all operations across Barco, with a focus on lean manufacturing, inventory management and quality improvements.
Rob Brown has more than 20 years of experience in operations and supply chain in internationally renowned companies. He has built up this strong expertise in operations in companies manufacturing electronic products in larger volumes as well as high value electronic products with smaller volumes. He has also gained strong experience in outsourcing to low cost countries.“We are very fortunate to have Rob Brown on our team”, says Martin De Prycker, CEO of Barco. “We realize that operational excellence is one of the decisive factors for our continuous growth in the future. Rob Brown will be based in Kortrijk.
