Barco chosen for Japanese premiere of "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith".
Kortrijk, Belgium, July 6th, 2005 – Barco, one of only three projector manufacturers to hold a license for Texas Instruments DLP CinemaTM display technology, is pleased to announce that its D-Cine DP100 Projector has been chosen to bring the digital premiere of “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” at Tokyo International Forum in Tokyo on June 18th.
Premiering in Tokyo on June 18th, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith continued after its European premiere with screenings in, amongst others, on May 15th Cannes Film Festival as a official partner, London, Berlin, Madrid and Rome throughout May.A Barco D-Cine DP100 projector featuring TI DLP CinemaTM technology allowed millions of fans in Japan to experience “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” as Lucasfilm created it: with rich color, high contrast and incredible sharpness.
