Barco Hires New Western Regional Sales Manager
Grif Palmer joins Barco as the new Western Regional Sales Manager with over 20 years of sales, marketing and operational experience in the lighting, video and entertainment technology sector.
Palmer began his career as owner and CEO of CORE Systems, an AV System Integrator based in Houston, Texas. Palmer’s client base included Dave & Buster’s, Chammps, House of Blues, Hard Rock Cafe, Marriott and Disney working on production and collaborating on over 200 entertainment concepts and projects over 10 years.
While VP of Sales at High End Systems, an Austin-based entertainment technology and software firm, Palmer was responsible for the evangelism of moving lights, Flying Pig systems and most recently Digital Lighting to the High End dealer network and creative visual designers. He helped to develop new killer product strategies and entertainment system design for numerous production and hospitality clients including the Olympics, IBM, and projects from Broadway to Las Vegas.
Palmer received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin and has completed executive courses at UT Business School for continuing executive education. He is a speaker and presenter at numerous tradeshows. He is also active in the event and production community and was an advisory board member for Entertainment Design/LDI and Oxford publishing.
