Barco’s Folsom Encore Debut’s at the Staubauch Academy Awards Gala.
When Gary Sleeper with ESPI in Dallas approached Alford Media to stage the 2004 Staubach Academy event, he wanted to wow the client and the audience with a wide-screen look.
His timing couldn’t have been better. Alford Media was ready to unveil their new Folsom Encore Presentation System. Many months ago the design team at Folsom asked Alford to join them in the development of this exciting new wide-screen product. Alford’s senior video engineer, Bill Brady, and technical director, Mark Anderson, worked with Folsom on Encore’s layout, features and controls.“I think it’s going to be an industry changing product because of how modular and powerful the system is. It can be an analog, digital or multi-source switcher on any given day. Folsom’s hardware makes this the cleanest scaled image I’ve seen on-screen. This product is going to go far. We know Folsom’s hardware and the customer service they provide. The Folsom Encore is no exception to what we’ve come to expect from them” as Bill Brady, Senior Video Engineer for Alford Media explains.
Introduced to the industry at this summer’s InfoComm, the Folsom Encore was now ready for its debut at a corporate event. Mr. Sleeper summed up the success of the event by saying, “ As producers, we all know that there are many different wide-screen systems out there. But when you combine a cutting edge system with a team of professionals that really know how to maximize its capabilities, then you have a winner. Kudos to the techs at Alford who made me look like a hero! We look forward to many more Encore performances.”The Folsom Encore is the newest system in the industry. Alford Media’s customers are waiting for their chance to use the Encore system. Steve Alford, President states, “Whether it is my own staff or a client, every time we demo the Encore, their jaws drop and they all ask me how many we are going to get and how soon we will get them.”
