Barco showcases Distributed Mission Operation (DMO) solution at I/ITSEC 2004
Orlando, Fla. – Visit booth 1101 to experience the future of visualization for military training as Barco demonstrates real-world, flight mission applications.
“Barco pays close attention to the visualization and training needs of the military,” says Steve McCullough, Vice President and General Manager of Barco Simulation. “We have a close relationship with the government and are always looking for new and effective ways to push the boundaries of visualization to maximize training performance in military flight simulation applications.”Barco will provide this year’s I/ITSEC attendees a first-hand demonstration of its revolutionary DMO solution for military training at booth 1101. Using two active-for-flight cockpits, pilots will fly missions in a virtual battlefield environment while other networked systems display the out-of-window imagery and virtual battlefield, as well as record the mission for post-mission debriefing. The technology behind this exhibit includes Barco’s new Small Environment Enhanced Reality (SEERTM) mini-dome display system and Barco’ s latest high-resolution projection solution, OverView DTM, for a “gods eye” view of the operation. Barco will also exhibit its ability to display its Digital ScribeTM technology -- a digital brief/debrief system that enables the replay of the mission in plain view of all the players participating in a DMO-type engagement.
Demonstrations are scheduled to run from December 6 through December 9. Attendees are advised to check demonstration times at the Barco booth. Barco will also be supporting its participating partners with equipment and on-site technical support for their visual display solutions.
I/ITSEC was created to encourage improved training and education programs, identification of common training issues, and development of multi-service programs in the Armed Services, Academia, and Industry.
