Barco introduces LD indoor LED display solution
High-impact LED solution for digital signage in the retail, entertainment and corporate branding markets
Kuurne, August 13, 2004 – Barco announces the launch of LD, its new full colour indoor LED display solution. In addition to delivering all the benefits of Barco’s proven LED technology, LD is a unique plug-and-play display solution that combines performance and affordability. Designed with usability in mind, LD is easy to set-up, configure and operate, and it is virtually maintenance-free. The LD is a high-impact, large screen digital signage solution that directs people’s attention to the message you want to bring.With LD, customers choose the system they want based on their specific environment. The solution is available in three models (120”, 140” and 150”) and two resolutions (8 and 10mm). Its small footprint, timeless design and flexible mounting options make it the ideal option for digital signage in retail stores, corporate lobbies, entertainment venues, museums, shopping malls and other indoor venues, whether it is to entertain, inform, advertise or merchandise.

All the components required for the set-up of a functional LD display are included in the package. The software application has been designed for fast, straightforward configuration and ease of operation. The LD solution does not have the complexity often found in custom LED installations.
The LD solution wraps all the benefits of LED technology - brightness, long lifetime, viewing conditions, low maintenance – into an affordable package. Thanks to the implementation of Barco’s renowned image processing technologies, it provides the very best picture quality and uniformity over the whole lifetime of the display. The LD provides crisp images, with no trace of seams or lines.
LD is part of Barco’s line of indoor LED solutions and will be sold via its regional offices as well as its network of world-wide distributors and system integrators. The solution will be available for delivery from September 2004.
