Barco expands team for Presentation group
Atlanta, GA – August 05, 2004 – Barco Visual Solutions, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Carsten Baumann as Senior Sales Manager, Western Region, for its Presentation group, which provides intelligent product solutions to the corporate, government, entertainment, higher-education and worship markets. He is responsible for overseeing all sales and business development activities in the western part of the US for the Presentation group.
Baumann joins Barco with nearly twenty years of global experience in the broadcast and telecommunications industry, including business development, sales and marketing and engineering. Prior to joining Barco he was principal for mpc, an international consulting company. Baumann held senior management positions with Leitch, Inc. and was responsible for sales and market development for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He was also director of sales for the United States, focusing on restructuring sales and distribution channels. Additionally, Baumann’s knowledge and expertise has led to consulting positions with major broadcast corporations around the world, devising solutions to migrate and integrate their IT based digital infrastructures. He has also defined and developed IT Solutions for broadcast applications.Baumann is chairman for The Global Society for Asset Management (G-SAM), an active member at the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), The European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Video Service Forum, FKTG and serves as a frequent speaker at national and international broadcast and telecommunications venues.
