Barco chosen as a strategic technology partner for Case Western Reserve University

Atlanta, GA – Barco is pleased to announce it has joined Case Western Reserve University’s (Case) Strategic Partnerships and Alliances (SPA) program. Developed by the university’s Information Technology Services, the program unites Case with technology vendors and organizations to allow the university to acquire and share a variety of technological goods, services and information. The program will benefit the University, University affiliates, neighboring institutions and various entities, including businesses, hospitals, and government agencies located throughout the Cleveland area. There are currently 22 affiliates under the university’s SPA program.

As an affiliate under the SPA program, Barco will be the exclusive visual imaging solutions provider to Case. As a result, the university will have preferential purchasing options, under a master purchasing agreement, which includes price, service, and technical support. The agreement includes purchases made for the university, its affiliates, and any other properties utilizing Barco solutions. In addition, Barco and Case will collaborate on research and development of imaging technology, creating a powerful synthesis of engineering excellence.

The university has already purchased more than 25 of Barco’s IQ Pro G300 projectors, with plans to purchase more than 90 units total. Barco was chosen to supply the projectors for the university’s Technology Enhanced Classroom (TEC) initiative, which equips the university’s classrooms and lecture halls with a foundation of the most innovative multimedia technology, enhancing classroom-based learning.
