Barco Media Strengthens Internal Structure
Logan, UT – February 20, 2004 – In an effort to strengthen its organization and expand our solutions packages, Barco Media announced today its new internal structure. Barco Media specializes in developing and producing customized visual communication solutions for the digital signage market (including sports, digital billboarding, and advertising). Barco Media has become the preferred solution provider for several high-profile installations, including Hollywood & Highland, Playhouse Square Center in Cleveland, the Millennium Dome in the UK, Reliant Stadium in Houston, the University of Texas, Austin, and Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.
Al Jensen has joined the Barco Media team as the Senior Director of Marketing, reporting to Dave Janke. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and business development, Jensen’s responsibilities will include marketing communication, tradeshows, lead generation, strategic alliances, market research, channel support and product management.Reporting to Jensen, Chris Merrill has been appointed to the new position of Director of Product Management in Barco Media. Merrill will be responsible for defining sports products for the worldwide market while coordinating with Barco’s worldwide marketing and sales teams. Specifically, he will be responsible for product definition, market positioning, competitive analysis, product literature, promotional materials and product pricing.
In order to consolidate the staffs that support bidding and execution of projects, Richard Pearson has joined the team as the Senior Director of Project Management. Pearson will supervise the project managers, design/drafting group, and bid/sales group.
As a part of the new subsidiary in Canada, John Youngson has been appointed to the position of National Sales Manager of Barco Media. With over 20 years of experience, Youngson will be responsible for the introduction of Barco Media’s complete line of professional large area display solutions across Canada.
Rounding out the new additions to the team, Marc Van Eekeren has been appointed as the Senior Director of Sales for Barco Media. With three years of experience at Barco, Van Eekeren is responsible for both the US and Canadian markets for Barco Media.
