Barco officially opens new R&D center in Karlsruhe securing its competitive edge in control room solutions
Karlsruhe, Germany, 10 October 2011 – Visualization specialist Barco strengthens its German branch by opening a new state-of-the-art research and development center in Karlsruhe. This new center will serve as an innovation hub for the design of reliable, high-quality control room solutions for the future. In this way, Barco secures its competitive edge and keeps research close to the customers.
Karlsruhe is one of the main Barco R&D locations for control room solutions development. In order to provide the most inspiring engineering environment possible, Barco expands its Karlsruhe site with a brand new building. This workplace will centralize all Barco Karlsruhe's engineering and design activities, and host a demo and customer center. The inauguration of the new building, on Friday 7 October 2011, was done by the Karlsruhe mayor and Barco CEO Eric Van Zele.
